Michigan State gives injured senior final chance to play

Andrew Joseph

Michigan State senior guard Eron Harris suffered a season-ending injury in the Spartans' loss at Purdue last week. The knee injury ended his college career, but Michigan State gave him one final opportunity to take the floor at the Breslin Center on Sunday.

Late in Michigan State's win over Wisconsin, head coach Tom Izzo told Matt McQuaid to travel with 3.2 seconds remaining, allowing Harris to take the floor to a standing ovation.

With a brace on his knee, Harris went to midcourt and kissed the logo.

It was a phenomenal moment.

Harris' mother performed the national anthem before the game, which also brought the senior to tears.

It doesn't get much better than that.
