Woman dead after Milwaukee shooting

A woman was shot to death Thursday night on Milwaukee's northwest side, police said.

The unidentified woman, who appeared to be in her 20s, was shot shortly after 6 p.m. in the 5000 block of W. Fairmount Ave., police said.

The shooting remained under investigation.
