Milwaukee police are searching for suspects in three shootings, two of which occurred overnight Sunday.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the abdomen about 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of S. 26th St. and another man, in his mid-20s, was shot in the shoulder about 20 minutes later in the 3300 block of W. Scott St., according to a news release.

Investigators are still working to determine suspects and motives in both incidents, the release stated.

Earlier on Sunday, Milwaukee police were called about 2 p.m. to the 2000 block of N. 35th St. where a man had been shot in the ankle by a "known suspect," according to the release. His age was not released.

Last year, 555 people survived shootings in Milwaukee, according to police data. The number of victims dropped 12% from 2015 when 633 people were injured in non-fatal shootings — which was the highest number of victims since the city began recording that data in 2005.
