Speed and alcohol possible factors in fatal pedestrian accident

A 55-year-old Milwaukee man died early Friday morning after he was hit by a car while walking across the street in the 3600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Renaldo V. Wilson was struck at 2:52 a.m. by a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman who was driving a 2012 Chevy Equinox. The woman stopped and remained at the scene. Police learned she was driving on a suspended driver's license.
Milwaukee Police believe speed and alcohol are factors in the accident.
Wilson had just stolen six plastic recycling bins from the back of a nearby Walgreens when he walked into the westbound lanes of W. Wisconsin Ave., a police department news release said.
Police are still investigating the accident.
