Camp report: Bullpen sessions being recorded

On the field: Longtime video coordinator Joe Crawford left the Brewers after the 2016 season and his replacement, August Sandri, has been busy in camp. One new development was the installation of cameras at the back of the bullpen to record their throwing sessions. “We’re filming more of practice right now, to be able to generate feedback for guys when needed,” manager Craig Counsell said.

Cactus juice: One of the many duties Crawford performed for the Brewers was catching ceremonial first pitches before home games, in uniform. Sandri is not wearing a uniform, however, so someone else will have to corral those first pitches. “Of  ‘5 things to watch in spring training,’ who will catch the first pitch, put that No. 1,” Counsell joked.
