Pregame reads: During Big East play, Marquette's fate has almost always been determined by halftime. The Golden Eagles are 5-1 in games they have led at the half and 1-5 in those they have trailed. As they head down the stretch they're either going to have to build leads and maintain them or figure out how to come back.

On the women's side, Marquette's resurgent team is led by a pair of local players who have been making their mark around the city for years. Sophomores Allazia Blockton and Amani Wilborn have been friends since fourth grade and together they're trying to take the Golden Eagles to new heights.

Wojo competing for charity: For the second year in a row, Wojciechowski is taking part in the Infiniti Coaches' Challenge in order to raise money for Camp Hometown Heroes, a summer camp that benefits the children of fallen military members.

There are 48 Division I coaches taking part in the competition, which is in its sixth year. The farther a coach advances in the competition, the more money is raised for his charity. The winning coach will receive $100,000 to benefit his charity of choice.

The first round of voting ended on January 22 and half of the coaches advanced to a second round, with Wojciechowski being one of them. Second-round voting will last until Sunday. From February 13 to February 26, the 16 advancing coaches from round two will compete in a third round where only four coaches advance to the final, fourth round. From February 27 to March 12, fans can vote for one coach per day with the top vote-getting coach and charity announced on March 12.
