ESPN's Todd McShay recently joined the First Draft podcast to talk about some of what he witnessed in Mobile, Ala., at the Reese's Senior Bowl last month. The Cleveland Browns coaching staff worked with Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs during the week of practice and it could be the start of a relationship.

South quarterback Josh Dobbs of Tennessee throws a pass against the North during the first half of the Senior Bowl NCAA college football game on, Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

"You saw a quarterback who, when working with a good quarterbacks coach in Hue Jackson, the Browns head coach who has always been good at developing quarterbacks," McShay said. "You could just see every day, the footwork, the timing was so much better than what we saw from him in college. Every day, he kept getting a little bit better. Every throw he made, he started to gain a little bit more confidence. He was standing tall in the pocket. He was stepping into his throws. He was driving off that back foot and showing more consistency with the weight transfer. All the mechanical things that he struggled with at Tennessee were starting to get fixed in just a couple of days. He's a Day Three pick, probably a late-round pick. A guy like Hue Jackson, if he can make that much progress with him over the course of just a few days, maybe there will be some intrigue to bring him in and continue to work with him and see if he can fit into the equation in Cleveland as a Day Three steal eventually. That would be the hope."

"There are some other quarterback coaches there I'm sure thinking, you know what, there is some stuff here to work with. I think that's what he did more than anything, he got guys to go back and look at the tape again and re-think what Josh Dobbs is in terms of his draft prospects in this class."
