A woman killed in a head-on crash in Kenosha County was identified by the sheriff's office Monday as Jennifer Ginter, 30, of Bristol.

The crash was reported shortly before 7 p.m., Sunday in the 11100 block of Antioch Road (Highway 83) in the Town of Salem, according to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office.

Ginter was southbound on Antioch Road when the vehicle she was driving collided with a northbound vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Trevor woman, who was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to the release.

A deputy who was controlling traffic at the scene of the crash was injured shortly after 8 p.m. when a suspected drunken driver ran over the deputy's foot as the man attempted to drive past the scene, which was fully marked with emergency lights and flares, according to the release.

The deputy was taken to a hospital with an injury that is not life-threatening and the driver, a 65-year-old man from Ingleside, Illinois, was in the Kenosha County Jail Monday after he was arrested for 4th-offense operating while intoxicated, according to the sheriff's office.

The crash remained under investigation.
