The NFL on Friday announced the names of the 95 players who have been granted special eligibility for the 2017 draft, and former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd was not on the list.

Hurd left the Tennessee program on Oct. 31. The junior running back was given his transfer release from UT, but has not publicly announced a transfer to another school.

Hurd is not registered in spring courses at UT, according to the university. At the time of his departure, Hurd was UT’s leading rusher with 451 yards.

To enter the draft early, players needed to submit a written application to the NFL to renounce their remaining college football eligibility. The deadline was Jan. 16.

Tennessee defensive end Derek Barnett, running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Josh Malone were among the 95 players on the list.

The 95 players are one less than last year when 96 players were granted special eligibility for the draft and third highest in the last 10 years. The highest was in 2014 when 98 players were granted special eligibility.

The NFL draft will be held April 27-29 in Philadelphia.
