Dense fog advisory issued in Milwaukee area

A dense fog advisory is in effect in the Milwaukee area until noon Friday, with visibility reduced to less than a quarter mile in many areas, according to the National Weather Service in Sullivan.

The weather service cautions motorists to slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.

Rain is likely to fall Friday morning, with areas of drizzle after noon. Otherwise, Friday is expected to be cloudy, with a high temperature near 39 degrees, according to the weather service.

Temperatures are expected to warm up this weekend, with a high near 50 degrees Saturday and 45 degrees Sunday.
