OXFORD  - Ole Miss guard Rasheed Brooks is in stable condition and undergoing further testing after he suffered a seizure in the second half of the Rebels' 80-69 victory against Tennessee Tuesday night.

Brooks collapsed near the Ole Miss bench with 17:21 remaining in the game. A stretcher was brought onto the floor immediately as his teammates gathered in a prayer and the music stopped at The Pavilion.

Brooks was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital. He played 15 minutes against the Volunteers and didn't score, but collected three rebounds and an assist.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Brooks was still undergoing testing and Ole Miss was still awaiting results, an athletic department spokesman said.

"He doesn't remember anything that transpired," Kennedy said. "I haven't seen a lot of seizures in my life. ... It scared us to death. I've never really seen anything so up close and personal. I was literally just talking to him then I turn my back, I thought he was cramping, he kind of starting contorting and then when he rolled over, we could see he was in a full blown seizure."

Kennedy said he would visit Brooks as soon as he was done with his press conference. Brooks' teammates went to visit him as well.

Ole Miss was told Brooks was stable later in the second half.

"We kind of felt a bit better about it, but we were still devastated," forward Sebastian Saiz said. "It was hard. After that happened, I saw my teammates and felt I wasn't going to be able to put it together."
