University of Wisconsin women’s basketball coach Jonathan Tsipis liked what he saw for about 10 minutes.

The rest of the game with Penn State was not easy on his eyes.

After playing Penn State even for the first quarter, the Badgers fell apart. As a result, the Nittany Lions cruised to a 76-46 victory over UW at the Bryce Jordan Center.

It was, 18-18, after the first period, and the Badgers (5-13, 0-5 Big Ten) struggled to get 28 more points the rest of the game. UW shot 22.5% from the floor in the second half and 10% from behind the three-point arc.

The Badgers managed just eight points in the second and third quarters. Meanwhile, Penn State had no problem scoring and took a 58-34 lead into the final period.
