Man surrenders to police after standoff

An armed, possibly suicidal man was arrested Monday after a standoff with Milwaukee police at a home on the city's south side, according to a police department news release.

Police were called to the home in the 400 block of W. Armour Ave. shortly after 1 p.m. and began communicating with the man, who exited the home and was arrested shortly before 3:30 p.m., according to the release.

He faces possible charges of domestic violence-related battery, according to the release.
