Bonita Springs teen remains missing after a week

A 14-year-old Bonita Springs girl who went missing last weekend has yet to return home, authorities say.

Kayla Joy Manwell was last seen at her home in the 10000 block of Shade Tree Court, Bonita Springs at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. She left home without permission and her family is very concerned for her well-being, sheriff's deputies said.

She stands 5 feet, 7 inches, weighs 115 pounds, and has red hair and blue eyes. Kayla could be wearing blue jeans and a red/black long sleeved shirt.
