China raises taxes on U.S. ddgs

China has raised taxes on imports of dried distillers’ grains from the United States.

In September, Beijing’s Ministry of Commerce alleged the U.S. was dumping the ethanol by-product on the Chinese market, hurting their domestic market.

A statement from the U.S. Grains Council says it is disappointed and the decision stops a growth market for U.S. producers. Anti-dumping duties now range from 42.2% to 53.7% and anti-subsidy tariffs are 11.2% to 12%.
