Minnesota Livestock Investment Grants awarded

Tina Smith

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has awarded two million dollars in Livestock Investment Grants to more than 100 Minnesota farmers.

Lt. Governor Tina Smith says both large and small livestock farms add value to Minnesota’s economy, and through the years this initiative has helped hundreds of farmers expand and diversify their businesses.

The Livestock Investment Grant program is one of several grants funded by the Agricultural Growth, Research and Innovation program established by the state Legislature.

Minnesota farmers wishing to apply for the next round of funding can submit applications to the Department of Ag by December 16th.
