As home to legends like Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, Brett Favre and now Aaron Rodgers, plus a passionate fan base and legendary stadium, it's no surprise that Green Bay is a great city for sports fans.

Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, center, a sports analyst for the NFL Network and younger brother of former Green Bay Packer Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, dances with fans before before the Green Bay Packers game against the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. on Sunday, October 16, 2016.

But according to WalletHub, it's not just great — it's the best midsize sports city in the country.

The personal finance website compared more than 400 cities on 50 metrics ranging from performance level of the city's teams (football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer) to average ticket price per game.

New York topped the overall list. Green Bay came in at No. 13 overall, but ranked first among all cities for football fans.

Wisconsin's most Instagrammed spots

It's perhaps that dedicated fan base that made Lambeau Field Wisconsin's most Instagrammed spot, according to USA TODAY.

The list was based on geo-tagged photos from the social media website's 500 million active users. The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Miller Park, Devil's Lake State Park and the Milwaukee Art Museum rounded out Wisconsin's top five most popular places to snap a picture and share on Instagram.

Names go to the dogs

Move over, Fido; it's Charlie and Bella's time to shine.

Those were the most popular names for male and female dogs in Milwaukee in 2016, according to Rover, an online network of pet sitters and dog walkers.

Other top names in Milwaukee included Max, Buddy, Cooper and Tucker for male dogs and Lucy, Daisy, Bailey and Molly for female dogs. Alcohol-themed names were up in popularity, including Guinness (80%), Bourbon (35%) and Whiskey (12%).

And the seemingly ubiquitous Lambeau even made an appearance, with the name jumping up 17% in popularity in Green Bay.
