Another big week for ethanol production
U.S. ethanol production topped a million barrels a day last week. At 1.023 million barrels, the weekly average was the highest since late August and topped the late October high of 1.022 million.
Expectations for continued strong domestic consumer and export demand have helped production hold above an average of a million barrels a day for six straight weeks.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says ethanol stocks were up modestly at 18.530 million barrels, but remain near more than one year lows.
In October, the U.S. Census Bureau says ethanol exports were 131.625 million gallons, up 88% on the year.
