Aftermath will present check for K-9 grant to Alamogordo

The Alamogordo Police Department would like to invite residents for a check presentation from Aftermath, an APD spokesman said.

Deputy Chief Roger Schoolcraft said Aftermath representatives will present the department with the check from the K-9 on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the police department lobby.

Our community pulled together and was able to get enough votes to be awarded with the $5,000 K-9 grant from Aftermath, Schoolcraft said.

We want to also thank everyone that voted for the department and supported us, he said.

Schoolcraft said the department could not have done it without you.

Our fallen officer Clint Corvinus’ dream was to have a K-9 unit for the department, he said.

Schoolcraft said because of our amazing community, we are one step closer to having that dream come true.
