Sunday “official” ignited my Christmas in Charleston excitement…
We took the Boys to the City of Charleston Holiday Parade. Before the parade we walked around Marion Square, making friends…
in various sizes…
Vendors, Christmas trees, kettle corn, and festive music made me feel like a kid again.
Harley waited at Santa’s door thinking someone “might” let him in #toofunny…
ONCE THE PARADE BEGAN –
Harley and Doodle Dad (parade veterans) took a seat away from the action…
Not Jax – He wiggled his way inch by inch to the edge of the curb like the children. In fact he befriended and shared space with a little girl and they watched the parade for almost two hours – together…
I’m not kidding…
I’ve known for a while that Jaxson likes music #truestories
He’s been known to stop playing with a toy for certain commercial jingles. So when the local high school band marched by, I was the only one in the crowd who didn’t marvel at his attentiveness…
Animated beyond his #doodledreams – he couldn’t help himself when the mascot walked by, he ran out to the parade for a hug…
NEXT YEAR –
The Boys and I are going to participate in the parade. Not sure what we’ll do – walk, ride, run, who knows. I only know after seeing these guys and pups in the parade…
Everyone is welcome!
Who knew there was a Basset Hound Club? #supersweet…
Honored to have so many groups request photos with the Boys…
Yep – It’s officially Christmas season, and I for one plan to enjoy each and everyday.

Love it!! What a great day! And I bet you will be in the parade next year — you are a woman who sets her eyes on something and makes it happen!
December 5, 2016
Oh Deirdre – you’re such the cheerleader #andIloveit I’m already thinking of something fun – so stay tuned!
December 5, 2016
Everyone loves a parade and adding Santa Paws…well does it get any better?
December 5, 2016
Nope! It’s the icing on the cake Monika!
December 5, 2016
You should definitely participate next year. Looks like lots of fun. Love seeing all those dogs in the parade
December 5, 2016
It was really nice to see them too! I’ll come up with something – have no #doodlefear 🙂

Please tell your mom when she comes she’s got to bring the two of you. I think we could convert you to the “Two Charleston Bulldogs!”
December 5, 2016
Can’t wait to see you and the Boys in next year’s parade.
December 5, 2016
Play your cards right and you could be there with us! 🙂
December 6, 2016
Looks like a really fun time! We wish things were more dog friendly around here.
December 6, 2016
But you’ve got snow!!! Fun times for you girls too!
December 7, 2016
Wow what a cool day!! Beautiful photos!!!
December 7, 2016
That looks like so much fun! I would have been of the crowd marveling that Jaxson sat to watch the parade so attentively.
I’m sure you and your boys will be so happy to represent in the parade next year! Maybe Jaxson would like to march to some music too? 🙂
December 12, 2016
I was thinking the same thing Jan, since he loves music so much perhaps we’ll attach ourselves to one of the high school bands!
December 7, 2016
Wow, that looks like a lot of fun! (Pretty sure Rita would hate a parade. If that dog-costumed person came at her, I’m pretty sure there’d be a lot of embarrassing barking!)
What fun for you guys to be in it next year!
December 12, 2016
I was supper surprised Jaxson approached the man in the dog costume myself! He never ceases to amaze me.
December 13, 2016
What a great day! Jax is such a character, I love that he has such an appreciation for music! Thanks for sharing this special day with us!
