REIS to meet

Gregory K. Adkins, Ed. D., Superintendent of the School District of Lee County, will discuss efforts to reform America’s public education system at the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS) Dec. 13 luncheon. The “Vision 2020” action plan for Lee County Schools will also be explained. The meeting will begin at 11:45 a.m. in the Pelican Preserve Clubhouse on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of Interstate 75, Exit 136 in Fort Myers. Admission is $30 for members; $40 for guests, which includes lunch. Reservations are required by Dec. 7 at the REIS website: www.reis-swfl.org.

Gator golf course to open

Pelican’s Nest Golf Club in Bonita Springs revealed its newly renovated 18-hole Gator golf course on Nov. 28 when the course opened for limited play and showcased all new greens, bunkers and fairways, improvements to several holes and the addition of scoring tees. The short game practice range is currently open for use. Project renovations encompassed the reconstruction of bunkers and greens, re-grassing of the course’s fairways, new scoring tees, hole modifications to Gator Holes 9, 13, 14, 17 and 18, golf cart restoration and renovations, and landscaping. Pelican’s Nest Golf Club is home to two Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole golf courses, the Hurricane and the Gator. The Hurricane golf course was renovated in 2015.

Naples Reserve welcomes Realtors

Naples Reserve hosted an evening gathering of more than 300 Southwest Florida Realtors to tour the community’s lakefront Island Club and outdoor amenities. The $7 million Island Club, created by developer iStar, features the main clubhouse and an adjacent fitness center, along with indoor and al fresco gathering areas, including the fireside grand hall and Latitudes Cafe, wraparound porches, an open-air tiki hut, and open and shaded spots around the resort-style pool and on the beach. Naples Reserve is off U.S. 41, 2 miles southeast of the Collier Boulevard intersection. Builders Care hosting event

Lee BIA Builders Care, the nonprofit arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA), will host its fifth annual building product garage sale to raise funds to help local homeowners in need. The sale will take place Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cape Coral Plumbing, 5812 Enterprise Parkway in the Billy Creek Commerce Center off Luckett Road, west of Interstate 75. Admission is free, but a $5 donation per adult is suggested. Offering Southwest Florida remodelers the opportunity to commence home or office renovations at a modest price, local suppliers and building industry related companies are providing great deals on all kinds of items including appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures, kitchen cabinets and paint. All proceeds will benefit Builders Care and help provide emergency construction services to elderly and disabled Lee County homeowners in need.

Cape Coral office opens

Royal Shell Real Estate has opened its first office in downtown Cape Coral. Royal Shell completed a major renovation and upgrades to the existing 9,000-square-foot building at 1105 Cape Coral Parkway East to create offices, large conference rooms and flex space. The new location represents not only growth for the company but additional job opportunities. This is the firm’s 15th office in Southwest Florida, with an additional office in Ocala in Central Florida and four in western North Carolina, bringing the total number of offices to 20. Online at www.royalshellrealestate.com.

Commercial transactions reported by CRE Consultants:

Angel Medical Supply purchased a 7,314-square-foot retail center at 5248 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples from FCB REO Commercial Real Estate, LLC for $1.025 million. Dave Wallace of CRE Consultants represented the seller and Diana Frickle of John R. Wood represented the buyer.

Arland Car Wash LLC purchased 1.88 acres to build a car wash in Westgate Regional Centre Commercial Plaza on Lee and Westgate boulevards, Lehigh Acres from Florida Landmark Communities LLC for $425,000. Fred Kermani of CRE Consultants represented the seller and Richard Corley of Ocean Blue Realty represented the buyer.

Saks Florida LLC purchased 2.98 acres at 14140 A & W Bulb Road, Fort Myers from OB Real Estate Holdings, 1704, LLC for $187,500. Fred Kermani of CRE Consultants represented the seller and Maxwell Meadows of Marc Jacobs Realty represented the buyer.

Carrier Enterprise LLC leased 20,000 square feet at 6451 Metro Plex Drive, Units 11 & 12, Fort Myers from Harry Lowell. William Wolf negotiated the transaction.

Jennifer Jo Springer Rinden P.A. leased 3,926 square feet in Walden Center, 24311 Walden Center Drive, Suite 200, Bonita Springs from Walden Center, LP. Randal Mercer, Brandon Stoneburner and Nicole Gray negotiated the transaction.
