Woman wounded in north side shooting

A 20-year-old woman was wounded Wednesday afternoon in a shooting on Milwaukee's north side, according to Milwaukee police.

The shooting was reported about 4 p.m. in the 4700 block of N. Hopkins St., according to a news release from the Milwaukee Police Department.

The woman is expected to survive her injuries and no suspects were in custody Wednesday night, according to the release, which provided no additional information.
