Brewers announce 2017 spring training schedule

The Milwaukee Brewers announced their 2017 spring training schedule on Wednesday, which for the third consecutive year begins with an exhibition game against UW-Milwaukee.

The Brewers play UWM on Friday, Feb. 24 and get into the Cactus League schedule the following day with a night game against the Los Angeles Angels in Tempe, Ariz. The Brewers’ exhibition schedule consists of 35 games (19 at home, 16 on the road) and concludes with a pair of games against the Chicago White Sox at Miller Park on Friday, March 31 at 7:10 p.m. and Saturday, April 1 at 1:10 p.m.

The Brewers will mark their 20th spring at Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix. Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp on Tuesday, Feb. 14, and position players will report on Friday, Feb. 17. The first full-squad workout is slated for Saturday, Feb. 18.

The first Cactus League game against the Angels is the Brewers' only night game in Arizona. They have split-squad games twice, within three days of each other. On Wednesday, March 8, they play the Dodgers at Maryvale and the White Sox in Glendale, and on Friday, March 10, they play the White Sox at home and Arizona at Talking Stick in Scottsdale.

Tickets for exhibition games at Maryvale will go on sale at 9 a.m. CST on Dec. 5 at Brewers.com and by phone at (800) 933-7890. Sales at the Maryvale box office will begin on Monday, Feb. 6.

Tickets are available in five seating areas: Diamond Box ($27), Field Box ($24), Infield Reserved ($18), Outfield Reserved ($14) and Lawn Seating ($8). Variable pricing for March 18 vs. the Cubs and March 22 vs. the Giants includes the following: Diamond Box ($32), Field Box ($29), Infield Reserve ($23), Outfield Reserve ($19) and Lawn Seating ($10).

In addition, there will be a limited number of advanced parking passes available for $5. Information on spring training season tickets can be obtained by calling the Brewers ticket office at (414) 902-4000.
