Hueneme Road reopens after water main break

A water main break that closed a stretch of Hueneme Road in Oxnard reopened early Wednesday morning, city officials said.

The line broke about 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, leading to the closure of eastbound and westbound lanes of Hueneme Road between Olds and Casper roads, the city said. Roads were reopened Wednesday at 2 a.m., officials reported.

Crews with the Oxnard Public Works Department repaired the break while California Highway Patrol remained in the area to provide traffic control, the city said.
