Poll: Trump and Clinton in virtual tie in Arizona
Another poll shows previously red Arizona is on track to be one of the presidential election's most crucial battlegrounds.
A Monmouth University poll released Tuesday had Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton just 1 point apart, 46%-45%. Libertarian Gary Johnson had 4% support, and 1% of likely Arizona voters said they backed the Green Party’s Jill Stein.
The single point between Trump and Clinton is well within the poll's 4.9-point margin of error.
Arizona Sen. John McCain holds a 10-point lead in the poll over his Democratic challenger, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, 50%-40%.
The poll was conducted Oct. 21-24 and included 401 likely Arizona voters.
