Minnesota farmers took advantage of good weather last week with nearly a quarter of the corn crop getting harvested.

The USDA says corn harvest is 55 percent done, still three days behind the five year average.

Soybean harvest is almost complete and slightly ahead of normal at 95 percent.

The sugar beet harvest is now equal to average at 91 percent, and 65 percent of the sunflower acreage is out as of Sunday.

In addition to harvest, farmers continue to till and fertilize soil.
