If you like the idea of experimenting with Japanese and Korean beauty innovations without spending an absolute fortune, then you may enjoy Romantic Bear Long Lasting Lip Colour – a peel off lip stain. If I’m truthful, it very much complicates the lip staining process, but they are a lot of fun and they do work.

I have to apologise the whole way through this post for goosebumpy arms… kitchen like an ice-cube today! To use Romantic Bear Long Lasting Lip Colour, the tubes have a shaped nozzle so that you can squeeze the product onto your lips – like applying a sticky balm. Do NOT over apply because it will never dry! You really only need a small amount.

The optimal amount is towards the end of the swatches – at the beginning I was too generous – and you can see that once it dries (a few minutes), you can start to peel the colour away. I know the shades look very lurid at first glance and I’d say there is a bit of an acid backdrop to the shades even when they’re tints.

Once the products is all peeled away, these are the shades you are left with. So, on the lip, depending upon the base shade of your natural lip, it really is a light, but noticable tint. These tints seem more oil resistant than most (with tints as soon as you tuck into a dressed salad, the oil starts to break down the ingredients and you lose the stain) and it saw me for almost a full day. In particular, the light pink shade is very much a true ‘cute, rosy lip’ a la Korean trends. You’ll need to use an oil based cleanser to remove this. Oh, and I should warn that due to the very stainy nature, you need to apply precisely. One wonky move and you’ll be living with it all day. Romantic Bear Long Lasting Lip Colour is HERE and costs £8.50.

Tint Mu Brows Gel

There’s not much I won’t give a go with beauty-wise and live with the consequences, but Etude House Tint Mu Brows Gel is the only product I can think of in nearly ever that I piked out of. It’s a peel off gel tint for brows. I did apply the Medium shade to my brows…. got scared about two minutes in before it had dried and hurridly removed it! It is just SO dark and without any indication of quite what shade I would emerge with, I just got really worried! I know how effective the lip stains are and didn’t know if I could live with ultra brown brows! It was fun to try and if you have naturally dark brows anyway it could work as long as you can do a precision application. I did notice when I removed it, even in my panicky hurry, that there is a lot of red in the undertone. You can find the brow gel HERE for £12.50.
