Woman shot with BB gun in Oxnard, police say

A woman was shot with a BB gun in Oxnard Sunday night, authorities said.

The incident happened along the 600 block of Doris Avenue shortly before 8 p.m.

According to Oxnard police, juveniles in the area were trying to shoot Halloween decorations at a house along the block and hit the woman by accident.

The woman's leg was injured and she refused to be taken to the hospital, authorities said.
