3 killed in crash with Uber car

Three people were killed when a vehicle ran a red light and struck an Uber vehicle early Sunday in Milwaukee, according to Milwaukee police

According to police, a 2015 Lexus R350 ran a stop light on southbound N. 2nd St and W. Clybourn Ave. about 2:48 a.m. and struck a westbound 2013 Ford Fusion that was serving as an Uber vehicle. The two male occupants of the Lexus fled on foot.

The 41-year-old driver of the Ford is being treated at a hospital. His two passengers, women ages 30 and 32 from Illinois, died on the scene. A third passenger, a woman in her 30s, died at a hospital.

Police continue to investigate.
