ST. THOMAS - Robert E. Leedy, 63, Chambersburg, is suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance after Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, said he was involved in a two-vehicle crash the evening of Oct. 19. At about 8 p.m., police said, Leedy was turning in a left curve south on Jack Road in a 1995 Ford Ranger when he entered the path of a 2009 Dodge Durango driven by Amanda J. Windhorst, 27, Chambersburg, and the vehicles collided. Charges are pending for Leedy, police said, pending further investigation. Both vehicles were towed.

THEFT: Dewayne E. Walker, 33, Nashville, Tennessee, is accused of pumping about 142 gallons of diesel fuel worth about $360 at Sheetz, 45 Antrim Commons Drive, and then driving off without paying at about 4:19 p.m. on Sept. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg.

DUI/CRASH: Samuel T. Spicer, 23, Chambersburg, is charged with driving under the influence after Chambersburg Police responded to a crash in the 200 block of North Main Street at about 1:55 a.m. on Oct. 7.

THEFT: Catherine Wilmer is charged with theft after Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, said she stole in excess of $45,000 in eyeglass frames between 2014 and 2016 from Hartzok Optometry. Charges were filed through the district court.

THEFT: Someone removed two Mongoose bikes from a Chambersburg man's truck bike rack in the 700 block of Franklin Square Drive on Oct. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg.

BURGLARY: Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg said Jessica L. Velez, 31, Chambersburg, fled in a blue Nissan Xterra after she forcibly entered a home in the 1500 block of Woodland Drive, causing $50 worth of damage, and took a black and red Schwinn bike and a 32-inch Apex television, totaling about $300.

THEFT: Someone entered a Mercersburg man's vehicle in the 9100 block of Heisey Road and took a cordless impact wrench and money between 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 and 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg.

FUGITIVE: Roger A. Mears, 55, Waynesboro, was taken into custody at about 5:48 p.m. on Oct. 20 after Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, said they were contacted by the Martin County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, because there was a warrant for Mears' arrest out of Martin County, Florida. Mears was taken to the Franklin County Jail to await extradition, the report shows.

CRASH: Jose E. Espinoza, 28, Gettysburg, is accused of fleeing after Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle said he struck two poles and a trash can in a 2008 tractor truck while pulling away from a gas pump on Ritner Highway at about 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 28. Espinoza was cited with traffic violations, the report shows.
