Peterson named Star in Agricultural Placement

Brett Peterson of Murdock, Minnesota has wanted to farm since he was a kid.  He started working on his family farm sweeping floors and putting away tools when he was in sixth grade.

Today his responsibilities have grown exponentially.  Peterson helps run his family’s 6,200 are farm which includes sugar beets, field corn, sweet corn, peas, alfalfa, and soybeans.

By the time Peterson was in his junior and senior years he began doing all jobs associated with production of sugar beets and also invested in his own shares of sugar beets.

Peterson is the son of Paula and Kyle Peterson and he is a member of the Kerkhoen Murdock Sunburg-KMS FFA Chapter.
