SWFL Forecast: Scattered storms and heat for the weekend

This morning begins with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with a few isolated showers and thundershowers through the afternoon. High temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s with heat index values between 95-100.

Sunday will be a partly cloudy day with scattered rain and storms in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90-degrees.

Southwest Florida weather will be largely unaffected by Hurricane Matthew through Monday and Tuesday. These days will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few scattered rain and thundershowers. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
