Gov. Scott Walker does Facebook live

Madison — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker held his first video chat through Facebook live Friday morning, digi-stumping his low-tax message on topics like road funding, health care and college education.

Between 300 and 400 people watched Walker speak in real time for a half hour and chimed in with questions, greetings and catcalls in the comments section. Right after Walker finished, the archived video listed more than 6,000 people had watched it, suggesting that they may have come and gone quickly or left and come back.

Walker repeated past vows to not raise gas taxes to pay for road construction and not to take federal money to expand state health programs for the needy to avoid future commitments.
