The death of a 2-year-old boy found trapped between a bunk bed and a wall in a home on Milwaukee's northwest side is believed to be an accident, according to a Milwaukee County medical examiner's report released Thursday.

According to the report, the boy's 3-year-old cousin found him hanging by his chin from the top bunk shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sept. 21 in a home in the 10100 block of W. Jonen St.

The toddler's mother left him in the care of a relative, a 24-year-old woman, while she took her other children to school, and he appeared to have become trapped when he tried to climb down the back of the bunk bed, according to the report.
