A Milwaukee man accused of fatally shooting another man after losing all his money in a dice game pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree reckless homicide, according to state court records.

Roderick J. McGinnis Jr., 27, was then sentenced to 20 years in prison and 10 years on extended supervision in the death of Lajuane M. Harrington, 26, according to the records.

Harrington was shot Oct. 29, 2015, in the 5100 block of N. 61st St., according to a criminal complaint.

McGinnis was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon for a 2006 robbery conviction, however that charge was dismissed per a plea agreement, according to the complaint and court records.
