House could vote on WRDA Tuesday

The U.S. House could vote on its version of the Water Resources Development bill as early as today. If passed, the bill would authorize 27 new water projects for construction by the Army Corps of Engineers including funding for channels, locks, dams and other infrastructure projects.

Earlier this month, the Senate passed its version of the bill which includes federal aid to help Flint, Michigan respond to its drinking water crisis.

Similar language is not currently included in the House version of the bill – and according to The National Law Review, House Democrats are reluctant to vote for the bill unless aid for Flint is included.
