I love drinking water because it keeps me hydrated and it’s good for my body.   It’s everything I really need to drink but sometimes I get tired of plain water.   I’ll drink unsweetened iced tea every few days, especially in the summer. It’s cool, it’s refreshing, and it’s made of water.

Jazz up your iced tea with this Orange Vanilla Tea!

Sometimes I get tired of plain iced tea.  People ask me why I don’t switch to sweet tea.  The truth is that if I made the sweet tea myself I might drink it.  I just can’t stand the iced tea they sell at restaurants that is so sweet my teeth hurt!   I can’t even taste the tea flavor underneath all of that sugar.

Everything you need to make Vanilla Orange Iced Tea

Now I don’t mind a lightly sweetened iced tea.  I’m talking a tablespoon or so of sugar tops.   It just adds a hint of sweetness and flavor to the beverage and gives it a different taste.  I also like to put lemon in my tea.  It’s very refreshing and I like the tart flavor.

Then there are days when I want something fancy to drink.    Since I’ve been stuck on iced tea I started there.  I’ve made different fruit iced teas and have enjoy all of them so this Orange Vanilla Iced Tea wasn’t hard to make.   I used fresh squeezed orange juice, a touch of sugar, a vanilla bean, and just a bit of chopped mint.

Cool off with this lightly sweetened Orange Vanilla Iced Tea!

The orange juice adds a nice hint of flavor as well as a bit of sweetness.   The mint adds a subtle flavor while the vanilla flavor gets stronger the longer the tea sits.   It’s a refreshing and brightly flavored iced tea that is perfect to enjoy in the fall.   It quenches your thirst while giving you a ton of flavor.   Plus, it doesn’t take long at all to make it!
