Co-sleeping infant death reported

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating a co-sleeping death of a one-month-old infant in Sherman Park on Wednesday morning.

The death occurred near N. 40th and W. Locust streets, according to the examiner's office.

No further information has been released.

The vast majority of babies who experienced sudden unexpected infant death in Wisconsin during 2013 and 2014 were exposed to multiple risks for unsafe sleep, according to a report from Keeping Kids Alive in Wisconsin.
