Yankee Nature's Delights Collection Review

If you follow me on social media (and if you don't why the heck not?) you will most likely have encountered the odd (okay several) post about my longing for Autumn. Yes my friends, I am "that guy" - the person who spends all year waiting for the arrival of snuggly nights in, candles, crunchy leaves and perhaps a rendition or two of John Keats "An Ode to Autumn"...or maybe not but I do love the season, most notably the arrival of new home scents which Yankee do so well. This year's collection has a slightly nostalgic-come-fruity theme and offers something for every taste (and perhaps season) in the guise of Yankee Nature's Delight Collection.

Yes, I do burn candles, wax tarts and natural incense all year round but I find that the process becomes a little more special once the long, dark and often wet nights roll in. I love nothing more than curling up with a new home scent, a good book and maybe the twinkling of fairy lights and enjoying all the season has to offer; and with four new Yankee scents to enjoy, I'm afraid I'm all but wishing this current burst of warm weather would hurry up and disappear so I can enjoy them at full capacity.

If you share a similar sentiment, not only do I recommend the new Yankee Nature's Delights Collection but also familiarising yourself with the Danish concept that is Hygge. I have been likening it to a forever Autumn combined with home comforts, living well and the state of bliss. I can not recommend this book enough to become acquainted with the idea, which just so happens to be what I have been reading while testing out the four scents within the Yankee Nature's Delight Collection.

Yankee Nature's Delights Collection Review

Yankee Candle Autumn Lights (£1.49 - £21.99) - From the deep blue hue of this candle/tart to the dreamy yet rich notes of lavender and woodland notes, everything about this scent screams "Autumn". In my opinion this has a slightly smoky-come-earthen trail of notes that pair oh so well with a blanket and the comfiest chair in the room.

Yankee Candle Ebony and Oak (£1.49 - £21.99) - Easily my favourite from the line up: a clean, crisp and slight woody scent that some may describe as veering a little masculine. Yankee Candle Ebony and Oak reminds me of the great outdoors with its almost alpine notes of oak, pine, eucalyptus and patchouli - a great scent for burning all Autumn and Winter long.

Yankee Candle Honey Clementine (£1.49 - £21.99) - As someone who hates anything to do with honey: the taste, the texture, the scent, this chunk of home fragrance is wasted on me. What I will say is that it is very sweet in scent and leans more orange-come-clementine than it does of honey. If you happen to enjoy tart, citrus fragrances this is one you may well want to try out.

Yankee Candle Rhubarb Crumble (£1.49 - £21.99) - A very "Harvest" like fragrance, that may have you longing for home baking and perhaps a visit home? From the sugary notes of vanilla to the almost tart hints of Rhubarb, coupled with a pinch of cinnamon, Yankee have created the perfect warming "foodie" type scent that might just cause a grumbling tummy or two.

You can find all four scents and the new Yankee Halloween launches via Love Aroma.
