Female inmate dies in county jail

A 38-year-old female inmate at the Milwaukee County Jail died Sunday morning, the Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Kristina A. Fiebrink of West Allis was found unresponsive in her cell at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. Emergency medical and jail medical staff responded. She was declared dead at 7:38 a.m.

The cause of death has not been determined, a press release from the department said.

Fiebrink was arrested Aug. 24 by Milwaukee Police officers for resisting/obstructing an officer and taken to the jail.

A state Department of Corrections order required that she be detained over the weekend in the jail until state corrections officers could take custody of her for parole violation.
