Weekly Links

Here’s a look at some interesting things we read/ saw / thought / did this week.

  1. 6 Novels Showcasing Absolutely Insane Book Design. Perhaps Illuminae, Amie Kaufman needs to be added to this list!
  2. Amazon Editors have put up their Fall Reading Lists and now I’m itching to work on mine! I am very much a seasonal reader. For me, Fall means mysteries, paranormal, and creepy stuff.
  3. What do you think of this list of Speculative Works Narrated by Dead People? Warm Bodies is the only one I’ve read.
  4. It’s Good To Follow Bloggers With Different Tastes of course! I follow such a wide variety of bloggers, and learn so much from them all.
  5. 14 Ways To Give Life To Old Blog Posts because one of the best sources of inspiration is what you’ve written in the past.
  6. Did everyone already know How to Sync Your Google Calendar with the Windows 10 Taskbar? I just did it!
  7. Doing Discussions: Do You Mind Unlikeable Characters? is one of my favorite bookish discussions this week. I sometimes cannot separate my dislike of a main character from how I feel about the book.
  8. Didya know August is Women in Translation Month?
  9. I’ve been saving a bunch of lists with weird and creepy books, and I just added Chuck Wendig’s Favorite Creature Feature Novels to it.
  10. Revisiting My Goals For The Year – have you looked back at yours yet? Here are the goals we’ve shared so far on the blog.
  11. I’ve gotten a little obsessed lately with how people set up their bullet journals, so it’s pretty neat to see Sharon’s Bullet Journal Setup & Tips.
  12. How do you follow other blogs? I use Feedly, and think I might give Bloglovin another shot.

  1. Thanks for sharing my discussion! I haven’t revisited my goals for the year, but would love to. I’ve been barely keeping up with bloggy things since I started my new blog, but hopefully I’l adjust to the new schedule and have time to do that soon 🙂 I also use feedly and so far, it’s working for me.

    • Sometimes I have trouble getting Feedly to update with new blog posts but other than that, I really like it. It’s hard keeping up with blogging but it’s such a fun escape from ‘real world’ stuff that we keep plugging along!
