The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is planning to add 29 upscale villas to its property in Lake Geneva.

The new villas, which are expected to open in June, will feature studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Each will include a full kitchen, fireplace and washer and dryer. A new outdoor pool and fire pits also will be added for use by villa guests.

The Four-Diamond resort currently features more than 350 guest rooms, a spa and salon, two golf courses, indoor and outdoor tennis and swimming pools, horseback riding and a small ski hill. It opened in 1968 as the Lake Geneva Playboy Club Hotel and was purchased by the Marcus Corp. in 1993 after an 11-year run as the Americana Hotel.
