Milwaukee County will have specially trained employees serving as voter registration deputies at seven county offices until Oct. 19, County Clerk Joe Czarnezki said Thursday.

A photo ID is not required when registering to vote in the Nov. 8 general election.

A proof of residence document, such as a bank statement, utility bill or property tax bill, is required to complete registration.

An adult must reside at an address for a least 10 days by election day in order to register to vote.

The county offices with registration deputies are: county clerk, county Election Commission, county treasurer and Milwaukee Justice Center at the Courthouse, 901 N. 9th St.; Disability Resource Center, 1220 W. Vliet St., Milwaukee; Veterans Services Office, 6419 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis; and the Housing Division, Suite 100, 600 W. Walnut St., Milwaukee.

Adults also can register to vote at the clerk's office in the municipality where they reside through Nov. 4, or register to vote at the polls on Nov. 8.
