Minor league baseball: LeBlanc leads Fort Myers Miracle to win over Palm Beach Cardinals

Randy LeBlanc pitched seven solid innings, leading the Fort Myers Miracle to a 2-1 win over the Palm Beach Cardinals at Hammond Stadium on Tuesday night.

LeBlanc allowed three hits, one walk and struck out six in his seven innings of work to pick up the win for the Miracle. Ian McKinney took the loss for the Cardinals, giving up one run on six hits in 5 2/3 innings.

Alex Perez got Fort Myers on the board in the bottom of the sixth, with an RBI single that brought home Joe Maloney. Max Murphy then scored on a fielder’s choice in the eighth, giving the Miracle a two-run advantage.

Palm Beach responded with an RBI single by Cole Lankford in the ninth, but failed to tie the game with Michael Pritchard grounding into a force out to seal the Miracle victory.

Fort Myers (64-63, 30-28 Florida State League) hosts Palm Beach for a second game on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
