One dead in farm accident

A person riding on a feed spreader attached to the front of the skid loader in Washington County was killed Tuesday when he fell off the spreader, the sheriff's office said.

The accident was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. at the Roden Echo Valley Farm in the Township of Trenton, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The victim, identified only as a male, lost his balance before falling off the feed spreader and being run over by the skid loader, according to the release.

He died while being flown to a hospital and the incident remained under investigation, according to the release.
