Senator Sanders’ Presidential Campaign accomplished something huge this year.
He laid out a bold vision that we don’t often hear in National politics, about making our economy and our democracy serve the needs of all working families, and not just the billionaire class. And most importantly, he activated millions of Americans to take action around that vision.
It is that mobilized base that is the heart of this political revolution.
There’s nothing that the billionaire class Bernie railed against would like more than to see this mobilized base of activists disappear.
Well, that’s not gonna happen.
Whether Clinton or Trump is elected President, and no matter who controls Congress, they will need to keep mobilizing around this shared vision for a better, fairer Nation. That’s the way change happens.
A week from today, on Wednesday August 24th, the Sanders campaign will be launching a new movement called Our Revolution with a major livestream address from Bernie.
Bernie will talk about the specifics of what can be done to continue to fight for the issues that drove his groundbreaking campaign.
In order to get as many people watching as possible, Bernie is asking WFP activists to organize grassroots watch parties all over the Country.
It’s easy to host. All you need is a computer or TV hooked up to the internet, with decent audio, and a space to meet, and you’re good to go.
Bernie has said from the very beginning that no one person can alone accomplish what must be done to turn our Country around alone. It’s up to all of us.
