Lancome Grandiose Liner

I was all set to say that the Lancome Grandiose Liner doesn’t make anything any easier if you’re as rubbish at freehanding a liquid line as me. But, actually, it does. We’re talking margins here, because it hasn’t made me good at lining, but I did manage much better with this than almost any other I’ve tried. I think it’s because where you hold the handle feels much more natural – a long wafty wand piled with black ink is terrifiying – but I could do a sort of pencil grip on this which was helpful.

So, you can go thin or thick – or accidentally both – but I have to say I have rather a superior looking thick line on my lid right now. The formula dries matte and doesn’t budge. The finish feels waxy and when I tried to remove from my hand, it rolls away (don’t do this on your lids though.. they’re too delicate) so in fact it’s more of a coating line. If you’ve got lots of liquid liner experience you will find this a breeze – if you’re less adept, it’s a good starting point. Shades are black, brown and a deep blue colour and they’re £23 HERE. As a side point, you can use it to create your own written body art – I made the word ‘love’ very easily because the flow is good.
