Instagram is awash right now with indi beauty brands – Jeffree Star, LA Splash and Color Pop to name a few, but I think we have a contender here for a UK indi brand to scoop some fans because I am completely smitten with the blush. And, it’s baked powder, which normally I don’t like one bit!

I’ve seen many a rose gold blush but Nectar Pop does the gold thing layered with a deep pink (it reminded me straight away of a Chanel blush) that’s just moved the trend along to another (better) level. It’s a fresh pink that does the double duty of giving you a pop of colour that enlivens the complexion and a trail of golden highlight. It’s in perfect balance – one doesn’t overtake the other and they just work so beautifully together. Not normally a powder blush fan (exception is the Cargo Swimmables) I just love this one – it’s silky soft in application and doesn’t work against my skin in terms of making it look and feel dry. If you thought you couldn’t do the rose-gold thing (yes, fellow older beauties, I am looking at you!) Nectar Pop will make you think differently. Very excited and very keeping this. The second blush is hardly getting a look in but it’s a more gentle version of pink without the gold in a matte formula.

I like the glosses too – Nude Nature is a pink toned toffee and Skinny Dip is a shimmer hit pale gold – best for beachy days when you don’t want a full face but need a little something. I tested Nude Nature – it’s an idea shade for me – and found it low fragrance and a good stayer without relying on a lot of stick to keep it there.

And, one last look at Nectar Pop. It’s £19 HERE. I should also add that this blush is Sara’s favourite to use with freckled complexions.
