Two Dead in Murder-Suicide at UCLA

The LAPD is confirming that the shooting at UCLA Wednesday morning was a murder-suicide. Two men are dead, one of them the gunman. A suicide note was reportedly found near one of the men. Sources also told NBC Los Angeles that police had found a handgun.

The shooting at 10am occurred near the engineering building of the school. The campus was immediately placed on lockdown amid rumors that the gunman was still at large.

The shooting also triggered a citywide tactical alert by the LAPD.
