Corn futures supported by strong demand

AgriVisor Market Analyst Dale Durchholz tells Brownfield contracts still have some upside.  In a conversation with Brownfield’s John Perkins, Durchholz says export demand for corn persists, which, he says, should have been expected.  Even though there have been corn planting delays, in Durchholz’s view, that is not the biggest market driver in the corn rally.

Durchholz says, recalling last year’s flash rally on corn connected to wet weather, it’s rare to see corn go up and then down again as quickly as it did.  This year, he says, there is a different factor playing into the market, interest from the investment community.
